Kitchen Update in Progress with a Stunning Door Swap

Sometimes one room can shift the entire energy of a home - and the kitchen is usually the first place people feel it. This update is still in progress, but it's already telling a clear story about where things are headed.

The before and after here is a good example of how much a door can do. The original pantry door was a clean, simple shaker-style panel in white - functional, nothing wrong with it. But swapping it out for that knotty alder door with the wire glass panels? Completely different vibe. It adds warmth and character to a space that already had some great bones.

Interior door installation is one of those things that looks simple but has a lot of moving parts. Getting the door properly hung, level, and flush with the existing trim takes real care - especially in a remodel where other work is happening around it at the same time. We take that seriously on every job.

There's still paint and finishing touches to come, and we're genuinely excited to show the final result. The combination of the updated cabinetry, the arabesque tile backsplash, that plaster range hood, and the new door is shaping up into something really cohesive.
